About the Administrators

My name is Cheryl Solarczyk, and I work with my daughter Gabrielle, as a mother-daughter duo and as a moderator and an administrator for the Lupus Lotus Warriors. It is a joy and privilege to host the Lupus support group meetings via Zoom where it is not only a safe and open place for people to share whatever they want but also a place where friendships are built through common bonds and understanding. In addition, I get to use my various degrees in teaching as we share an educational PowerPoint on a certain topic each month, along with our own journeys with the group! My degree in Education and Speech Therapy allows me to connect with people easily while listening and communicating with other Lupus warriors on a much-needed open level. As a Lupus warrior myself, I love to share my decades of experience and resources not only as a warrior, but as a mom and Mimi living with Lupus. The main goal is to help those with Lupus meet their daily needs and to give them strength, hope, and positivity as they fight their daily battles. Moving forward, I will continue to do the work that I love to do including educating, advocating, spreading awareness, supporting, and helping those with Lupus whenever and wherever I can!

My name is Gabrielle Solarczyk-Wallace, and I have the honor and privilege to be one of the moderators and administrators of the Lupus Lotus Warriors alongside my mom Cheryl. In addition, I have the joy and responsibility of managing the monthly support group meetings via Zoom. I love using my knowledge from my degree in Psychology and schooling in Counseling throughout various portions of the meetings as we help guide our attendees through various ways of life. We realize it is not only important to have educational information about Lupus, but fun interactive activities and/or questions to build that camaraderie as we continue to get to know one another better! I also create and schedule all of the daily posts to our social media like Facebook and Instagram. One of my biggest achievements is using my English degree with a concentration in Writing while I write the quarterly newsletter for the Lupus community that has many helpful qualities and resources for Lupus warriors and their families. I have volunteered in the Lupus community for approximately 15 years! As a Lupus warrior myself, I believe there is always work to be done when it comes to educating, advocating, spreading awareness, supporting, and helping others wherever I can. Through the Lupus Lotus Warriors, I hope to help those with Lupus with their daily needs in order to make every day that much easier!
