Our Mission
We as the Lupus Lotus Warriors strive to help the Lupus community as a whole through our multiple ways of outreach such as social media via Facebook and Instagram. Through these different modalities, we post daily inspirational posts that make our forum unique and special. We host monthly support group meetings via Zoom that have a different topic each month while fostering a safe space and friendship that knows no limits! Lastly, we send out a quarterly newsletter with various topics, information, and fun tidbits that make it a unique piece of literature. Although we are based in the greater Pittsburgh area, we would like to believe our impact is on a global scale for anyone whose life is affected by Lupus!
Our Vision
As the Lupus Lotus Warriors, our goal is to impact the Lupus community by educating, advocating, spreading awareness, supporting, and helping others through our ongoing ways of outreach. We hope to raise money through donations to help Lupus warriors with daily living needs or helping with the certain aid aspects or devices a Lupus warriors would need by a caretaker, family member, or friend, all with the help of our fiscal sponsor. We plan on continuing to spread hope and positivity as we impact and help as many people as we can.

Our goal is to help those in the Lupus community by way of Facebook and Instagram through inspirational posts on these social media platforms. In addition, we offer monthly support group meetings via Zoom. Each meeting has a different topic each month while offering a safe and friendly space for all. Lastly, we write a quarterly newsletter that is educational and fun for everyone.
As the Lupus Lotus Warriors, our goal is to impact the Lupus community by educating, advocating, supporting, and helping others through our ongoing ways of outreach. We hope to raise money through donations to help Lupus warriors and their families through a financial assistance program. The idea is to try to ease the daily struggles and hardships that make Lupus that much more challenging! Lupus patients can reach out and apply through an application for possible help with things that directly affect their health or daily life with Lupus.
Why the Lotus Flower
The lotus flower not only has a very beautiful story but also a very meaningful story behind its symbol. As the flower rises from muddy waters to fully bloom in all its glory, it represents strength, resilience, perseverance, and hope. In this sense, the lotus flower is much like the butterfly, a symbol of Lupus we all know well. Like the butterfly, the lotus flower represents a transformation into something beautiful and the arduous journey it endeavors along the way.
As the lotus flower is a day-blooming flower, it emerges every day after submerging in the depths of the dark, murky waters. We take this symbolism as having to rise each day with strength, resilience, and perseverance as a Lupus warrior! It is never easy, but we continue to fight with grace and hope and that is why we are the Lupus Lotus Warriors!
